Nothing special to post - the girl working at the reception/front desk is sick so I had to fill in for her today. So I thought I'd use the time to do something more or less useful. 
Important dates
4th July - big test in BGP (business studies) - need a 1 to keep my 1 for the report card (which I might need to apply for jobs next ear
4th July - SMV (student counsil) meeting at 6 pm
6th July - big test in Social Studies - need a 1 to keep my 1 for the report card
- big test in English - vocab test - need a 1 or 2 to keep my 1 for the report card
13th - 15th July - 3 days for heros - big voluntary youth-and-social-work project in which I will participate
21st July - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be in my mailbox
1st August - my plane leaves for Detroit via Paris ...
11th August - my plane leaves Detroit and arrives in Kansas City
22nd August - the first Birthday Richard and myself will be able to celebrate together
24th August - my plane leaves Kansas City via Atlanta (with a 6 hour lay-over) and Paris
25th August - arrival in Nuremberg
27th August - back to work at 6 am
End of August - end of the year - no vacation left, if I want/need time off - I have to use overtime (which I dont have yet) |

Just out of curiosity I searched for flights ... again.
For the first few days of my trip to the U.S. I'll be staying in Brighton, Michigan at Joy's. She used to be my brother's host-mom and is now a good friend to all of us. AND she invited me to stay with her for a few days.
I booked flights from Germany to Detroit, from Detroit to KC and from KC back to Germany.
So when I looked at flights yesterday I tried to find out how much less it would have been to skip the flight within the US.
And guess what! Booking 2 flights instead of 3 would have been 80 EUR MORE! 
Good for me - I wont complain. he he he |

The Oysterband is coming to Nuremberg again - 3rd April - but I'll be in Hamburg clearing my grandma's house - so i wont be able to go. And they dont tour that often - especially not anywhere near me.

A girl parked her car in mine - 100% her fault and she admitted it.
So I got a reviewer/estimator (or whatever you call these guys) to look at the damage on my car (hers only had a tiny scratch).
So he wrote a report stating:
the replacement value of my car is 5,350 EUR
| the permanent loss in value due to this accident is | 250 EUR | | the net repair-costs are | 3,360 EUR | | the estimator himself wants | 612 EUR | | for the time i couldnt use the car | 208 EUR | | total | 4,430 EUR |
Now let's see how large the check is they sent me ....
Tadaaaaaaaaaaah!
Yes, that's right 2,309 EUR! That is INCLUDING the money for the estimator - meaning for the total damage done to my car I get exactly 1,697 EUR ... that is insane! Who could fix the large damage for that little? Even if they sent me the tax after handing in the bill... BASTARDS!
I already contacted a lawyer and if my mom cant sort out things with that "oh-so-friendly-and-nice-on-the-phone" bitch  at the insurance - I'm at his office tomorrow at 1:30 pm!
Yeah and whats really upsetting I wanted to use part of that money to finally come back to see Richard and everybody else ... after more than a year.
So if the lawyer says that I have a chance of getting ALL my money back, I can come - if not ... well I dont want to think about it. Thank god I didnt buy the plane ticket yet ... |

Why can't I sleep anymore?
I used to be so good at it ... I went to bed whenever and always woke up around 10:30am or 11am on the weekends (leaving me enough time to get home and cook without everybody being mad at me) - or at 3 minutes before the time i wanted to get up (like 5:57am) during the week.
So why do i wake up on weekends at 7am or 8am?
Why do I wake up around 4, 4:30 or 5 during the week?
AND WHY CAN I NEVER GO BACK TO SLEEP AFTER WAKING UP 2 - 3 hours EARLY? :(
I mean even if I go to bed really late or really early - it has no influence on me waking up whenever I should be sleeping - leaving me tired and yawning and needy for coffee all day.

well there isn't any ... it snowed twice so far in this winter/fall season. Which is extremely creepy. Last year it snowed so much from October on that entire buildings collapsed and this year ...

It worries me to think about it ... my dog also misses the snow - he loves to eat it (which unfortunately makes him sick) and roll around in it.

After I got my MRT my doc was on vacation - great timing.
When he got back they "couldn't find" these pictures/files and he was out of office when I called.
When I called again - he was out of office again. Great. So I asked the assistant/nurse/whatever whether she knew if my MRT was alright or not and whether I had to come in on Monday for my scheduled appointment (did that weeks ago).
I know they can't tell you confidential stuff over the phone, but I figured, that if the MRT came out alright I wouldnt have to show up anymore for my appointment.
After she had me on hold again for 12 minutes, she told me in a more grim voice than before: "You should come in for your scheduled appointment on monday."
*Sighs* Just when I felt better about all this and came to the conclusion that it can't be all that bad.
Shit. I'm tired of being scared and not being able to sleep. 2,5 more days of not knowing whether there is something wrong with me or not or what the hell is going on. |

Last night while playing at the neighbors house my niece got a toy in her eye. The eye seems to be punctured, the ratina is damaged and the iritis seems to be turned over or something.
Silke, my sister-in-law, had to drive to the hospital in Amberg just to hear that they couldnt do anything, cause it was too special for them.
So they let her drive all the way to Regensburg to an eye-clinic! How could you let a mom with an injured kid drive that far! This is insane!
Also the pope is in Regensburg today and the city is crammed full with people! And it has been packed for days there!
In the eye-clinic they asked her why my niece wasn't transferred to Munich, because most of the doctors are on "outside"-duty cause of the pope-visit!
She had to go into surgery last night.
We all hope that she'll be alright. |
